Crowns/Bridges
A dental crown is a tooth-shaped “cap” that is placed over a tooth to cover the tooth to restore its shape, size, strength, and improve its appearance. The crown once placed, fully encases the entire visible portion of a tooth that lies at and above the gum line.
Why is a crown needed?
- Restores a broken or damaged tooth
- Cover a tooth that has had root canal treatment
- Support a tooth with large fillings when there is not much natural tooth remaining
- Cover misshapen or discolored teeth
- Cover dental implants
- Cosmetic changes
